MONDAY

When your child arrives at camp, they will have a number written on their hand – this number will show them what table they are at. Counsellors will be around to help them find their table and get settled for the day. If your camper goes on the bus, you will need to sign them in on the bus. If you drop your camper off right at camp, make sure you sign them in at the Sign In Hut.

Once your camper is at camp, they will be directed to the Swim Band table. If your camper has already taken the Swim Test at Kids Inc (Summer 2015 or later only), their results will be recorded, and they can get the colour wristband that they have already earned without retaking the test.

Buddy Requests: if you had a requested buddy during registration, we have done our best to put the campers together. If the campers get to camp and are not with their friend, we will have time first thing to switch them to a different group. If you camper was not moved upon request, or if you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office at registration@kidsinc.ca.

Weather: the weather at camp can sometimes be unpredictable. Please check the weather in the morning and send your camper dressed appropriately. We also recommend sending a sweater in your camper’s backpack, should the weather change unexpectedly.

Swim Testing: your camper will be reminded of swim testing on the first day of camp. All campers will start with the pool test, regardless of age or ability. Should they pass the pool test, they will receive a yellow wristband. If they are unsuccessful, they are still welcome to swim in the pool, but will be required to wear a lifejacket. Similarly, should a camper choose not to take the swim test, they too would swim in the pool with a lifejacket. Campers who are 8 years of age and older who have passed the pool test will be able to try the pond test in the afternoon. If they are successful, they will receive a green band. If your camper does not pass a test and you would like more information, please contact the office at registration@kidsinc.ca. PLEASE NOTE: we do not allow sharp jewellery in the pool and campers will have to remove it prior to swim time.

Play With Clay: this activity is for campers 8 years of age and older who have registered in advance. Campers will be painting a ceramic craft during the last period of the day, which will be sent away to be glazed and cooked before being returned to them to take home on Friday.

TUESDAY

It's TIE DYE TUESDAY!!!!! How exciting and what a fun way to end the summer. Today our General Campers and LIT's only will be doing TIE DYE as their craft. This craft requires you to send them to camp with the following items and to know the following facts if they and you wish for them to join in the fun:

- Please send 1 cotton clothing item (preferably white). This item does not need to be new and also can have logos and printing of any kind on them. We have TIE DYED T-shirts, undershirts, pillow cases, and more over the years! it is best not to send a sweatshirt as these do not come out well. We do not sell items for this craft - you must send your camper with their own item to do this craft. Thank you.

- Please LABEL this item with a sharpie with your campers name. First and last name please.

- Send a Zip lock bag or plastic shopping bag. These items may not be dry at home time and therefore it is best to send a bag to put them in.

- This craft only happens on Tuesday of this week and if your camper misses that day we are unable to have them do this craft on another day.

- This craft is for General Camp and LIT Campers only. We find that Mini Campers require much more time and assistance to complete this craft and we are not able to pack it in to our already amazingly fun filled day in Mini Camp. Thank you for understanding.

WEDNESDAY

Picnic Lunch: campers will have a picnic somewhere in the park with their cabin groups. Groups will eat together, play games, and work on their campfire songs! Please pack a normal lunch for your camper, unless they are preregistered for the Full Week Catered Lunch Program.
